CPA Martin Goni Elected President Of CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter
Martin J. Goni, CPA, of CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann, has been elected president of the Bakersfield Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2008 – 09. Goni succeeds Ryan L. Nielsen, CPA, of Brown Armstrong Accountancy Corp.
The CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter serves more than 380 members in Kern County. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Goni was previously the chapter’s first vice president. His firm provides attest, tax, litigation and consulting services.
Goni holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and in music performance from California State University, Bakersfield. He is a member of the French horn section of the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra.
Joining Goni on the board of the CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter are Joel A. Bock (first vice president) of Daniels Phillips Vaughan & Bock; Rich Walton (vice president) of Walton & Walton, LLP;.and Oscar I. Axume (secretary/treasurer) of Barbich, Longcrier, Hooper & King.
