Helpful Information for Candidates About the Ethics Exam
About the Materials
The Professional Ethics for CPAs self-study course comes in both online and text formats. The material offers comprehensive coverage of the AICPAs Code of Professional Conduct and the California Accountancy Act and Accounting Rules and Regulations. The almost 300 page course features clear, detailed explanations of the rules that will assist you in answering tough-to-call ethical questions. Please allow approximately 16 hours to read and complete the test.
About the Exam
There are 50 multiple-choice questions. You will have three attempts to pass the exam with a grade of 90% or better, or no more than 5 missed questions. The exam must be completed within a one year from the date of purchase. Please make sure to allow enough time for all three attempts to pass, if needed, within that one-year period. Your test results are valid for two years as you complete all of your licensing requirements for the California Board of Accountancy.
How to Order
The Professional Ethics course for Candidates can be ordered via our website or through our Customer Services department. It is available in both online and text format. For text purchases, please allow 5-7 business days for delivery. Rush shipping is also available.
Grading
Online grading is included in the price of your self-study course for both text and online formats. Your online course may be accessed via this website by going to “Manage My Account”, “My Online / Self-Study”. Online grading for the text format can also be found at this location. You will receive instant results and can print your certificate of completion for your records.
All passing scores are sent directly from the Education Foundation to the State Board of Accountancy on a weekly basis. Your certificate of Completion is for your records only.
For text format, if you prefer to submit your answer sheet via mail or fax for hand grading, this service is available for an additional fee. Once your exam is received by the Education Foundation your results will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days. Additional information to sign-up and pay for this for this option will be included on your answer sheet sent with your course materials.
